The Hacks

Mar 2, 2020

Throughout history, there have always been certain groups that - for whatever reason - can't or won't get along. There are several that come to mind. The Red Sox and the Yankees, Republicans and Democrats, cats and dogs... The list goes on and on. Sadly, IT Operations and Security teams would have to be included in this list. There's not a good history there.

In this episode of The Hacks, Tom and Chunga talk about the natural friction that takes place between these two groups of professionals. At the end of the day, everyone on each side of the fence is hard working and well intended. They're all trying to do the best job they possibly can!

If something goes wrong and the infrastructure gets hacked, which one of these groups is responsible? Tom has some thoughts about individual responsibilities. He also has some ideas and opinions on how organizations can help lower the tension between the two sides.
